The 4th Annual Brittany Bosson Hope for Huntington’s Memorial Golf Tournament will take place on October 18, 2024, at the East Bay Golf Club in Largo, Florida. This special event honors the memory of Brittany Nicole Bosson, a vibrant, beloved young woman whose life was tragically cut short by Huntington’s disease. Brittany was born on January 19, 1987, in St. Petersburg, Florida, and spent over 12 years as a dedicated cheerleader, known for her contagious smile and joyful spirit. In 2016, shortly after giving birth to her daughter Kennedy, Brittany received the devastating diagnosis of Huntington’s disease, a genetic disorder that had also affected both her father and grandfather.

Despite the challenges that came with this diagnosis, Brittany remained a beacon of strength, resilience, and love throughout her seven-year battle with the disease. She never complained or indulged in self-pity, continuing to radiate joy and hope, even as Huntington’s began to take its toll on her body. Her smile could still light up any room, and she inspired everyone around her with her unwavering positivity. On November 15, 2023, at the age of 36, Brittany’s courageous fight came to an end. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love and hope continues to inspire us all.

In her honor, the Brittany Bosson Hope for Huntington’s Memorial Golf Tournament was created to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Huntington’s disease. All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA), the premier nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Huntington’s disease. HDSA leads the way in providing community services, education, advocacy, and research funding, working tirelessly to bring hope for a future without Huntington’s disease.

This golf tournament is not just about playing a round of golf—it’s about continuing Brittany’s fight and honoring her memory by supporting the work that HDSA does to help families impacted by Huntington’s disease. Whether you choose to sign up to play, become a sponsor, or simply make a donation, your contribution will make a real difference in the lives of those affected by this cruel disease.

Brittany’s family, friends, and all who knew her continue to hold on to the hope she carried with her every day. Her mother, Diane Fendley, recalls that even as speaking became difficult, Brittany would tell her every day that she was praying for a cure. “We won’t stop until one is found” has become the driving force behind this event. By participating in this tournament, you are helping to carry on Brittany’s legacy and moving us one step closer to a world where no one has to suffer the way she did.

We invite you to join us on October 18, 2024, at East Bay Golf Club in Largo, Florida, for a day of golf, community, and hope. Together, we can honor Brittany’s memory and bring hope to families affected by Huntington’s disease. Sign up to play, sponsor the event, or donate—because every swing and every dollar brings us closer to a cure.
