Family-Friendly Spaces at the Community First Igloo, home of the Jacksonville Icemen
Interior Fusion’s relationship with the Jacksonville Icemen started when we met Lauren Muni, Vice President of Marketing for the Jacksonville Icemen at a Jax Chamber function. We quickly bonded over our shared values, and when we discovered they were looking to upgrade the Community First Igloo with new furniture and furnishings, our team was more than happy to help.
Home of the Jacksonville Icemen, the Community First Igloo is the epicenter of ice sports in Northeast Florida and aims to create a safe, exciting and effective training environment for people of all ages and abilities.
“When discussing the project with the Jacksonville Icemen, they wanted to emphasize the family-friendly appeal of the Igloo,” said Steve Jacobs, co-owner of Interior Fusion. “They wanted parents to be able to bring their children to play at the ice rinks while enjoying themselves at the sports bar.”
Our team strove to create a warm, enticing atmosphere through the use of chairs and tables from numerous manufacturers, such as Sit-On-It Seating and 9to5 Seating (which have the Icemen logo embellished on them). These were then used to furnish their corporate offices, executive suites, sports bar, and conference room. The conference room we are especially proud of, as we commissioned a custom glass top table, reminiscent of an ice hockey table, for the conference table.
“For the Icebreakers Bar & Grill, we wanted to entice people to come visit the Igloo and have some good food and company,” said Jacobs. “It was thanks to Christine Capps, Director Of Interior Design at Chiodini Architects, that we were able to achieve this. Her input allowed us to create a location that attracted both businesses and families looking to enjoy a good time.”
We are proud to have contributed to the Igloo’s family-friendly vibe and helped our friends at the Jacksonville Icemen. Interior Fusion looks forward to seeing you on the ice!
